Tower Foundations
HPS helical piers/screw piles are being installed as the base foundations
for the construction of utility, wind and telecom towers. Most often, construction
occurs on terrains that are almost inaccessible. HPS Engineers design screw piles
foundations for prodjects over deep wet organic soils to dense permafrost.
In most instances it is not a single vertical helical pier installation. To counter the high lateral loading of these towers a combuination of vertical and battered piles are required for a stable foundation.
