Developers are now building in areas that traditionally were thought of as area with poor soil conditions which includes all types of fill material. Helical Piers provide the strength and load capacity for residences to be built on top of these types of soils. Piers are installed and embedded into deeper, harder pack soils and are designed to carry the load of the building.

Certified HPS installers embed the helical piers into the earth at each designated point. Utilizing soils reports and installation experience, each pier is installed to a predetermined torque and installation depth to ensure load capacity is reached.

The piers are cut to elevation as required and the footing is boxed in to ready for concrete. footing.

Foundation boxed and re-enforced with rebar

New Construction caps are placed onto the top of the piers. Depending on the soil conditions the caps may be required to be bolted or welded onto the pier. Re-bar is placed into the footing and tied to the piers and new construction caps. In some areas the builder may be required to install pre-fabricated re-bar cages.
